Following the Church of England guidelines, there will be one church open
at 10.30 am each Sunday for a single service for the three parishes of
St Thomas’, Milnthorpe | St Peter’s, Heversham | St John’s, Levens.
This pattern will run until the end of August, when we will review all services.

19th July ~ St John’s, Levens
26th July ~ St Peter’s, Heversham
2nd August ~ St Thomas’, Milnthorpe
9th August ~ St John’s, Levens
16th August ~ St Peter’s, Heversham
23rd August ~ St Thomas’, Milnthorpe
30th August ~ St John’s, Levens

There is no restriction on the numbers for Sunday services,
except what is physically possible to maintain social distancing.
The figure of 30 max is for weddings and funerals.
If you attend, we advise you to observe social distancing and hand washing.
Not all pews will be available, in order to observe proper distance.
Hymn singing isn’t permitted, but we hope to have suitable music played in services.
Holy Communion will be given in one kind (bread) only, as directed by church guidelines.

We can’t offer refreshments after the service, but if you wish to bring your personal drinks in flasks, that would be possible.
In favourable weather, we could catch up outdoors after the service.
We hope to continue a Zoom service for those at home, either from the church service or at another time on Sunday morning as technology permits. The order of service will be available as a download from the website each week and we encourage you to bring your own copy.
We have read and complied with the government’s guidance on managing COVID-19 in places of worship.

We have:
• carried out a COVID-19 risk assessment
• put hand cleansing and hygiene procedures in place, in line with government guidance
• taken all reasonable steps to help everyone to maintain social distancing.

On the Second Friday of each month
There is a short ‘Shoppers Service’ at 10.00 a.m. when attendees often join the regular coffee morning in the church centre.

On the Third Thursday of the month
There is a BCP service at 2 pm followed by ‘tea & cake and a good natter’ at 2.30pm. You are more than welcome to come to one or both!

Stay tuned for our next Music service!

Music is important to us at St. Thomas’; we include well known hymns in our weekly 11:00 am services. We encourage our Sunday school to sing and are fortunate to have an organist to play for us at our services.

Local choirs and singing groups use our church for concerts and performances and we are very fortunate to have a professional soprano Tracie Penwarden, www.tracie@penwarden.org, who is keen to promote music within the village. Tracie and her husband Ian Allen, a conductor, kindly bring together an amazing choir for special services at Christmas and Easter when our church is packed to capacity and the beautiful choral music fills the air.
